Application Checklist

Apply as early as February 2nd

Room choices are not guaranteed. There are a limited amount of single/triple rooms. Finally, your completed application should be submitted as soon as possible for your best opportunity to receive your preferred housing. Students are assigned based on the date their completed application is received.

Follow the instructions and answer every question

Incomplete or unanswered questions can affect your on-campus living application status.

Pay your fees and security deposits

Pay the $50 Non-Refundable Application Fee and $150 Security Deposit. Moreover, applications will not be reviewed until payment has been received

Sign the Housing Contract via Adobe Sign

Housing application will not be considered complete until the contract is signed through Adobe Sign.

Programs & Services

Maxine McDonald Scholars Program

Eligibility: The program targets incoming freshmen who identify as Black/African American/Black American whose depositions and actions personify the program’s three core tenets of being iconic, advocative, and exemplary.

As a component of the program, accepted students will receive room and board as well as participate within a cohort of program specific courses and enrichment activities that will take place during the fall, intersession, and spring semesters. All courses will count towards their respective majors. Furthermore, Maxine McDonald Residential Scholars will engage in fruitful discussions with Fresno State stakeholders such as at-large community members, staff, faculty, and administration who support their matriculation through the university. Services for Students with Disabilities

If you have a disability that will affect any aspect of your stay at Fresno State Student Housing you will need to register with the Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) located in the library. Room assignments begin June 1st. If your SSD request is not submitted prior to room assignments or we do not have a completed application, we may not be able to accommodate your needs. Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, contact us or make an appointment with our Coordinator of Housing Operations by calling 559-278-2345 or emailing housing@csufresno.edu.

Gender Neutral Housing

Student Housing is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive experience for all students. We offer a gender-inclusive housing option to ensure there is a supportive space for residents of all gender identities and gender expressions. Furthermore, if you are interested in a gender-inclusive room we can provide you with a personal and confidential assessment of the available options. Quiet Halls

There are a few quiet halls on-campus for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere. In these halls, quiet hours are earlier than they would usually be. In quiet living areas, quiet hours are observed from 8:00pm to 7:00am, Sunday – Thursday and midnight to 7:00am on Friday and Saturday. The designated quiet halls are: Aspen (Suites), Ponderosa (Suites), and Homan (Community Hall).
