On May 12th, the CSU Office of the Chancellor stated that all 23 campuses would provide instruction virtually with limited exceptions for in-person activities that cannot be delivered virtually for the Fall 2020 semester.
Fresno State is currently developing its plan for exceptions for in-person instruction for courses with academic outcomes that cannot be achieved virtually, such as performance, laboratory and clinical experiences. These plans require approval by the Chancellor while ensuring compliance with public health and safety guidelines.
Given the evolving situation with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is not possible to determine at this time what changes to operations in student housing may occur in Academic Year 2020-2021. Consequently, we are not offering a housing guarantee and any housing assignments that you may have received are subject to change. Student Housing will have limited occupancy for the Fall 2020 semester. Given the evolving situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the CSU’s decision to continue with virtual instruction for most classes for the fall semester, we are still assessing the operational protocols and spacing limitations that will need to be in place for Academic Year (AY) 2020-2021.
The Fall 2020 Planning Task Force is in the process of prioritizing in-person courses with academic outcomes that cannot be achieved virtually, such as performance, laboratory and clinical experiences. A final campus plan should be approved at the latest by end of June.
If you would like to modify your application for AY 2020-21 to only Spring 2021, please email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will adjust your application accordingly and apply your deposit to the Spring 2021 semester.
We understand. Please download the cancellation form from the housing website here and return the form to Student Housing by email to email@example.com. Please ensure that the form is signed by the student. Student Housing will then refund your security deposit via the original payment method.
